Job summary

The NZZ-Mediengruppe seeks a QA Engineer (m/f) for a 100% position in Germany to ensure high quality digital products and collaborate with designers and developers in a dynamic environment.

You will plan, design and execute tests for web/app applications, implement test automation and contribute to CI/CD processes while maintaining test documentation and metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing.
• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript), APIs, and front-end/back-end interactions.
• Experience with browser DevTools and web debugging proxies (e.g. Charles).
• Experience with test automation and testing tools (e.g. TestRail, BrowserStack) and writing tests with Playwright.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with agile development environments and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
• Attention to detail, structured thinking and analytical problem-solving.
• Good English communication skills.
• Namibian residency or a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute manual and automated tests for web/app applications.
• Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs.
• Define quality assurance metrics (e.g. bug densities, open bug counts).
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and product demos.
• Ensure regression, integration and performance testing are consistently implemented.
• Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
• Document test cases, processes and outcomes.
