Public Policy Manager (12 month FTC)

We are looking to hire a Public Policy Manager to join our team in Berlin, for a 12 month fixed term contract. Location: Berlin, Germany

About the role

This role focuses on shaping and influencing mobility and digital policy across Germany, by engaging with key policymakers, monitoring legislative developments, and driving the company’s public affairs strategy.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Draft and coordinate policy and position papers on mobility and digital policy topics, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments across Germany, Switzerland, and the EU.
  • Coordinate company input for public consultations, hearings, and parliamentary processes.
  • Maintain proactive engagement with ministries, regulators, and political stakeholders at all levels of government.
  • Represent the company in meetings with policymakers, industry associations, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare concise briefings, talking points, and presentations for management and public affairs activities.
About you:
  • You have a university degree in political science, law, economics, public administration, or a related field.
  • You are well-versed in German politics, the federal legislative process, and policy-making frameworks.
  • You have legal knowledge and/or practical experience in public affairs, advocacy, or regulatory policy.
  • You are experienced, or have interned, in government institutions, associations, think tanks, or corporate public affairs.
  • You are familiar with the German mobility and transport landscape, or eager to deepen your knowledge in this field.
  • You have excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills in both German and English, and thrive under tight deadlines.
