Job summary

OHB System AG in Bremen seeks a Project Manager (m/f/d) to support the planning and execution of national and international space projects within the Future Programs area. The role involves preparing proposals, staffing, timelines, and budgets, and may include independent project responsibility based on experience.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree in engineering or engineering management, strong leadership and communication skills, and English proficiency with German as a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or engineering management (ideally in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or aerospace engineering).
• IPMA/PMI certifications or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience leading and managing teams, strong communication, and a structured, analytical work style.

Responsibilities

• Support in the planning and execution of national and international space projects in the “Future Programs” area, specifically in the preparation of proposals for implementation projects.
• Independently manage projects/progrmas as experience allows.
• Plan projects and proposals with staffing, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage projects with respect to quality, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate interdisciplinary project and proposal teams.

Projectmanager (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Support in the planning and execution of national and international space projects in the “Future Programs” area, specifically in the preparation of proposals for implementation projects
• Depending on the level of experience gained, you may also be responsible for independently managing the aforementioned projects/programs
• Planning of projects and proposals with regard to staffing, timelines, and budgets
• Depending on previous experience, you may also be responsible for managing projects with operational responsibility for ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, and budget requirements
• Primary point of contact for customers
• Providing technical leadership and coordinating interdisciplinary project and proposal teams (in areas such as engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, controlling, project office)

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or engineering management—ideally in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or aerospace engineering
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of project management, ideally with relevant certifications (IPMA, PMI, or equivalent)
• Broad technical understanding of technical systems
• Ideally, several years of professional experience as a project manager or lead technical engineer in the field of spacecrafts
• Experience in leading and managing teams, as well as strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
• Quick learner with a passion for exploring new subject areas and technologies
• Structured, analytical, and efficient work style, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Very good English skills; German skills are a plus
