Zusammenfassung

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project in Hamburg, Germany. The role covers engineering, construction, grid connection, commissioning and handover, with a hybrid working model as required.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage EPC contractors and stakeholders, monitor risks, budgets and milestones to ensure on-time project delivery against client expectations.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Project Manager / Senior Project Manager in BESS.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV systems and grid connection.
• Experience coordinating EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience taking projects through construction and commissioning.

I’m currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale BESS project in Hamburg, Germany.

The Project Manager will take responsibility for the project through engineering, construction, grid connection, commissioning and final handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of a utility-scale BESS project from construction through commissioning
• Coordinate engineering, construction, electrical and commissioning teams
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors and equipment suppliers
• Monitor programme, budget, quality and project milestones
• Coordinate HV/MV grid-connection activities
• Oversee installation of battery systems, transformers, switchgear and associated electrical infrastructure
• Support FAT, SAT, energisation and commissioning activities
• Interface with the client, EPC, DSO/TSO and other project stakeholders
• Manage project risks, variations and technical issues
• Ensure successful project completion and handover

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager within BESS
• Good understanding of HV/MV systems and grid connection
• Experience managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience taking projects through construction and commissioning
• Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, substations and electrical balance of plant
• Strong stakeholder and contractor-management experience
