Role overview
A healthcare technology organization is hiring a Project Manager to lead deployments of a web-based health information platform used by hospitals, physician practices, employers, and government agencies. The role spans the full project lifecycle from pre-sale scoping through go-live, ensuring deliverables stay on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations. It is a client-facing position with up to 20% travel.
Responsibilities
- Secure stakeholder consensus on the project plan before execution begins and establish governance structures that define decision‑making, processes, and tracking tools.
- Coordinate recurring meetings to assign and progress work according to the approved plan, keeping tasks and critical‑path items on schedule.
- Maintain and update project plans as conditions change, documenting revisions and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders.
- Manage scope by applying formal change‑control policies and keeping all project artifacts in a single, accessible repository for compliance.
- Drive project closure activities, including sign‑off, debriefs, and lessons‑learned capture that feed back into organizational process assets.
- Translate customer business requirements into actionable specifications and support pre‑sales scoping, budgeting, and timeline planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years in business analysis and/or technical/software project management.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget while juggling competing priorities.
- Hands‑on experience with pre‑sales support, project scoping, budgeting, and schedule planning.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and standard project management tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and training abilities, plus solid problem‑solving and leadership skills.
