Omnicell is seeking a Project Implementation Engineer to deploy automated stock control systems in the DACH region. You will handle planning, configuration, data analysis, deployment, training and go-live, with post-go-live support.
The role requires strong communication, willingness to travel (>75% on-site), and the ability to work independently or as part of a team within the Omnicell project methodology and quality standards.
As a result of our growth strategy and commercial success in the DACH region, we are currently recruiting for a Project Implementation Engineer. The Project Implementation Engineer will be responsible for reporting to and assisting the Project Implementation Manager (PIM) implementing Omnicell automated stock control systems in public and private hospitals across the DACH region.
The role will encompass automation scheme planning, system configuration, data analysis, database creation, system implementation, customer training and go-live and post-go-live activities.
You will contribute to and learn about Omnicell project design, project implementation, information gathering and analysis, negotiation techniques, sales, project performance and case study reporting, software systems, systems interfacing as well as all the issues relating to pharmacy and supplies management in hospitals.
You will also have exposure to a full spectrum of work relating to the installation and support of the Omnicell cabinet hardware and software including pairing Omnicell software application configurations to functional requirements and outcomes.
Once a little more experienced, on smaller installations, you will have the opportunity to work (sometimes on your own) to the Omnicell project methodology and quality standards with a ‘light touch’, management by exception approach, from the PIM. On bigger installations, you will work as part of a team, under a full time PIM.
This is a varied, hands‑on role and you will need to apply logic and diplomacy to a range of situations to achieve project progress or support issue resolution. You will need to be able to think on your feet, take ownership of issues and be of mature, confident and polite character to manage and guide customers and colleagues appropriately.
We operate in a fertile and young market in the DACH region, where ambitious and capable people can make their mark as well as being part of a dedicated and businesslike team.
Omnicell prefers to recruit from within before recruiting externally, so after suitable experience and training and subject to business growth, we would expect Project Engineers to progress into a PIM role.
