Zusammenfassung

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery and handover of HV cabling works on a major project in Germany. You will work with the Project Manager and team to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget, coordinating subcontractors and reviewing technical documentation.

The role requires strong communication, a solid engineering background, and experience with safe systems of work. Flexibility for hybrid working and proactive risk management are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Project Engineer in power, utilities, construction or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering cabling, civils or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and site-based project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate project resources.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
• Formal engineering or construction qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
• CSCS and SMSTS preferred.
• APM qualifications or a desire to work towards them would be advantageous.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Engineer, you will work alongside the Project Manager and wider project team to support the successful planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover of cabling works. You will be responsible for formalising engineered solutions, coordinating site activities and ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

• Supporting the delivery of HV cabling works across the BTNO project.
• Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
• Reviewing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS and safety documentation.
• Monitoring project progress, quality and programme performance.
• Supporting risk management processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assisting with procurement of plant, materials and subcontract services.
• Maintaining accurate project records and reporting progress to stakeholders.
• Promoting a culture of Zero Harm and ensuring, projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities.
