Job summary

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical or business field with strong technical affinity.

• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing; experience with V93000 testers or RF tech is welcome.
• Proficient with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis Maestro).
• Experience in cost management, cost structure analysis and supplier development.
• Strong project management and ability to handle complex projects.
• Excellent English (spoken and written); German skills are beneficial.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style.
• Strong communication, team spirit and intercultural competence.
• Willingness to travel ~25%

As a Product Sourcing Manager at Advantest, you play a central role at the interface between Procurement, R&D, Product Engineering, and Project Management. You are responsible for both the strategic and operational sourcing throughout the entire product development process – from the initial concept to market introduction. Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process within Procurement, from the first prototypes to series production, including active ramp-up management during the market launch phase
• Support the further development and ensure implementation of our supply chain strategies in NPI projects
• Ensuring cost efficiency and on-time availability throughout the product development and introduction process and support our technical colleagues on the commercial aspects of quality of our products
• Conducting proactive risk analysis and mitigation within the supply chain
• Coordinating and leading interdisciplinary project teams
• Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across all organizational levels

Requirements

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration with a strong technical affinity
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, or supply chain management
