Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Ratingen, Germany, seeks an experienced program leader to manage a sustainment program from development through production and support. You will direct customer interactions, proposals and negotiations, and lead cross-functional teams with Engineering, Operations, QA, Supply Chain and Finance.

You will monitor cost, schedule and margin, pursue organic growth on assigned programs, and travel domestically or internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced degree in related field with 7+ years of experience
• Program management or leadership experience
• Experience sustaining a program
• Experience with reporting metrics through customer reviews
• Experience managing proposals and negotiations
• Fluent German and English
• Solution-oriented, independent working method
• Strong leadership and communication skills

This role calls for a leader eager to operate within a fast-moving, evolving portfolio that encompasses all program phases from development through production and sustainment. You will be leading a sustainment program where you will be responsible to direct interaction with the customer and other external entities, proposal preparation and negotiations, and internal cross-functional leadership. In addition, you will provide support to other development and production programs.You will lead through strong cross-functional engagement, partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, and Contracts to execute programs with rigor. Managing financial performance, including cost, schedule, and margin is essential, along with organic growth through the assigned programs.
