Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, seeks a Program Manager (m/f/d) for Platform Development to lead complex seating platform programs from concept to authority approval. You will chair interdisciplinary teams and coordinate with international airlines and manufacturers to meet schedules, budgets and quality targets.

The role requires a technical degree in aerospace/mechanical fields, several years of PM experience in aviation, fluent English, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

Completed technical studies in aerospace or related field with PM focus.
3+ years in project management in aviation or similar industry.
Experience in product development and cross-functional leadership.
Fluent English, strong communication and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of MS-Project/Jira and MS Office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage complex product development programs from concept to execution.
Lead large interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate stakeholders.
Define milestones, plans and responsibilities; monitor progress.
Report progress to steering committees and leadership teams.
Collaborate with international airlines, Boeing and Airbus; manage risks.

YOUR TASKS

Management of complex product development programs
New development of seating platforms from concept to approval by the authorities
Management of large interdisciplinary project teams
First point of contact for all project questions
Cooperation with international airlines, Boeing and Airbus
Ensuring that the project goals are achieved on schedule, on budget and in line with quality and stakeholder expectations
Creation of project plans including the definition of milestones and responsibilities as well as the delegation and control of work packages
Continuous monitoring of project progress and timely initiation of solution measures
Ensuring the flow of information within the international team, with airlines, aircraft manufacturers and licensing authorities
Active stakeholder management
Implementation of risk management
Regular project reporting to the steering committee (including management)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Completed technical studies (aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable degree), ideally with a specialization in project management
At least 3 years of professional experience in the project management (aviation industry or comparable)
In-depth project management knowledge and several years of professional experience
Several years of experience in product development
Business fluency in spoken and written English
Good communication skills
Very good organizational and coordination skills
Confident handling of MS-Project, Jira, MS-Office, MS-Teams
IPMA or PMP certification desirable
