Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating in Schwäbisch Hall is seeking a Stress & Testing Project Engineer B/C to lead the simulation and testing program for passenger seats and furniture components. You will coordinate staff, ensure testing standards, and drive project master plans with budget and capacity estimates.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 3–5 years in simulation, testing, and certification of seats, with aviation standards expertise and strong English skills. On-site position within R&D.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and document the simulation and testing program for passenger seats as the project manager for B/C projects.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate stress, testing, and simulation staff.
• Ensure consistent testing and simulation standards across projects.
• Support bid preparation and master project planning including budget and capacity estimates.
• Review specifications and regulatory requirements for feasibility and compliance.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and weight targets; define corrective actions for deviations.
• Contribute to design reviews and structural concepts.

YOUR TASKS

• Planning, coordination, and documentation of the simulation and testing program for passenger seats as the platform-responsible project manager for B/C projects, including furniture components
• Technical leadership and coordination of assigned stress, testing, and simulation staff
• Coordination and structured overview - Ensuring consistent testing and simulation standards
• Collaboration on bid preparation and project master planning (including budget and capacity estimates)
• Review of specifications and requirements regarding technical feasibility, standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Management of schedules, budgets, and weight targets, as well as the definition and tracking of corrective actions in the event of deviations
• Contribution to structural concepts and participation in design reviews
• Organizing and leading stress and testing meetings, as well as responding to project-related inquiries
• Ensuring the transfer of technical data and certification documentation to customers, aircraft manufacturers, and regulatory authorities
• Defining and enforcing go/no-go criteria, as well as incorporating lessons learned

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree from a university of applied sciences as a Dipl.-Ingenieur/-in (FH) / Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in simulation, testing,v technical project management, development, and certification of passenger seats
• Relevant knowledge in the areas of certification, simulation, and testing of passenger seats and furniture components
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in the aviation industry
• Proficiency in Polarion, MS Office, JIRA, and PLM
• Very good English skills
