Zusammenfassung

AUCOTEC is seeking an experienced Product Owner to shape our engineering software roadmap and work closely with engineering, development and sales teams. You will define product visions, gather requirements, and prioritize the backlog to deliver customer-focused updates.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering/CS and at least three years in product roles within software, preferably for process industry solutions. Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, information systems or a similar discipline.
• Proven experience (min. three years) as product owner, product manager or similar in software, preferably for engineering software/solutions for process industry.
• Familiarity with the process industry (oil, gas, chemical, pharma) is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product visions, strategies and roadmaps for engineering software.
• Create product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria based on customer requirements.
• Manage product backlog to align with priorities, market needs and customer expectations.
• Define requirements, UIs and feature enhancements with development teams and communicate decisions.
• Serve as point of contact for stakeholders and provide product updates.
• Present demos, collect feedback and revise designs for customer-centric experience.
• Work with QA to devise test scenarios and ensure high-quality releases.
• Keep abreast of industry developments to drive innovation.

Your Areas Of Responsibility

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including the engineering, development and sales departments, to define product visions, product strategies and roadmaps with our engineering software.
• Creating product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria based on customer requirements and business objectives.
• Working on and managing the product backlog to ensure that development is in line with the company's priorities, market requirements and customer expectations.
• Working closely together with the development department to determine product requirements, user interfaces and feature enhancements, and to communicate decisions.
• Point of contact for stakeholders: answering questions, providing product updates, and managing expectations.
• Presenting product demos, collecting user feedback, and revising product design to provide a customer-centric experience.
• Working together with the QA team to devise test scenarios and conduct acceptance tests in order to ensure the release of high-quality software updates.
• Regularly gathering information about industry developments, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and keep the company competitive.

Your Profile

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, information systems or a similar discipline.
• Proven professional experience (min. three years) as a product owner, product manager or similar in the software industry, preferably for a company that offers engineering software and solutions for the process industry.
• Familiarity with the process industry (e.g. oil, gas, chemical and pharmaceutical industries or related sectors) is particularly desirable.
• Sound knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Excellent analytical skills as well as problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a data-driven approach.
• Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders from both the technical sector and other industries.
• Experience with user-centered design principles and methods of usability testing is an advantage.
• Proficiency in project management tools and collaboration tools such as MS DevOps, JIRA, Confluence or other similar platforms.
• Strong team player, excellent social and communication skills.
