Job summary

ALTEN invites engineers to join the sensor-control subsystem team responsible for the Ground Mission and Armament System. You will translate requirements into a prioritized backlog and define user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Collaborate with systems engineers and software teams to deliver on sprint goals while maintaining safety and traceability. The role emphasizes architecture alignment, risk management, and compliance with DO-278C, ensuring reliability and maintainability in

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience in sensor-control, avionics, autonomous or mission-critical platforms.
• Systems engineering background with life-cycle knowledge (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE).
• Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence, DOORS for traceability, CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink for sensor modeling.
• Strong English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• own the product vision & roadmap for the sensor-control subsystem within the overall Ground Mission and Armament System
• translate mission requirements, stakeholder needs and regulatory constraints into a clear, prioritized product backlog
• define and communicate user stories, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done that reflect both functional performance and systems-engineering attributes
• work hand-in-hand with the 10-person development team to ensure sprint goals are realistic, well-understood and delivered on time
• collaborate with System Architects, Mission Engineers, and Operations to align sensor-control capabilities with overall system architecture and mission timelines
• manage risk and compliance - maintain traceability matrices, ensure safety/mission-critical standards are reflected in backlog items and verified during testing

• have Systems Engineering background - solid understanding of system life-cycle processes, requirements engineering, architecture, integration & verification (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE)

• are highly proficient in English
