Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking aSenior Frontend Architect to own the frontend platform's architecture and technical roadmap. You will guide design of large-scale systems, delivering high-performance web apps with real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualizations using WebGL.

You will lead frontend teams, set coding standards, review code, and mentor engineers while aligning engineering efforts with business goals and strategies.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in JavaScript ES6+/TypeScript with strong performance and memory management.
• Experience building real-time map rendering pipelines using WebGL or frameworks like Three.js, CesiumJS, or Mapbox GL.
• Deep experience with a major frontend framework (React/Angular/Vue) and frontend architecture design.
• Proven ability to design scalable frontend architectures and apply design patterns.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs; emphasis on testing and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers and aligning tech with business goals.

• Own the technical vision and architecture of the frontend platform
• Define the technical roadmap, design large-scale systems, and align technical goals with business objectives
• Design and build high-performance, interactive web applications, including real-time 2D/3D and geospatial visualizations using WebGL
• Set and enforce standards for clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code
• Lead and mentor frontend developers, perform code reviews, and foster technical growth
• Integrate frontend components with existing products, backend services, and REST APIs
• Optimize rendering performance, memory usage, and load times for large and complex datasets
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across browsers and devices; recommend and implement improvements
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Solve the hardest engineering problems and guide multi-team projects
• Partner with product managers, executives, and technical leads to plan future software capabilities
• Own software-related complaints and work toward solutions
• Analyze data to identify potential software weaknesses or problems
• Oversee initial software rollouts and updates to ensure smooth implementation
• Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to corporate strategy
• Lead the technical vision, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of complex software systems while aligning engineering efforts with business goals

Requirements

• Strong JavaScript (ES6+ / TypeScript), including event loop, memory management, closures, asynchronous programming (Promises/Async-Await), and language-level performance optimization
• Experience building and optimizing real-time map rendering pipelines using WebGL, GLSL shaders, or frameworks such as Three.js, CesiumJS, or Mapbox GL
• Experience processing complex spatial datasets, map projections, coordinate reference systems, and vector/raster tile streams
• Deep expertise with at least one major frontend framework: React, Angular, Vue, or similar
• Proven experience designing scalable, resilient frontend architectures and applying appropriate design patterns
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs using design patterns
• Strong use of unit tests and modern build/CI tooling
• Experience leading, mentoring, or setting the technical direction of a team of engineers
• Fluency in English
• Typically 10+ years of software development experience with a strong track record of delivering large, complex systems
• Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business executives
