Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Platform Architect to set the technical direction for a cloud-native, AWS-based platform. You will guide multiple squads, define standards, and drive cross-domain architectural decisions to deliver scalable, secure UI and backend integrations.

Responsibilities include designing API contracts, leading reviews, building reusable front-end components, and advancing automated testing within CI/CD.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting scalable, cloud-native full-stack applications.
• 5+ years of experience building modern front-end applications using TypeScript and React.
• Proven experience setting technical direction across multiple teams or a platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, preferably TypeScript, building APIs at scale.
• Deep experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDB.

• Design APIs and data integration layers handling latency, partial failures, and caching.
• Build reusable front-end components and modules using micro-frontend patterns.
• Design and implement AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Establish automation, observability, monitoring, telemetry, and operational readiness standards.
• Ensure platform-wide scalability, data integrity, security, availability, and reliability.
• Own automated end-to-end and UI testing strategy.
• Drive performance optimization and establish benchmarks.
• Solve complex technical problems and improve system design.
• Mentor engineers, including senior engineers.
• Evaluate and introduce cloud, front-end, and test automation technologies.
• Communicate technical strategy and architectural decisions.
• Partner with product, operations, security, QA, and domain teams.
• Lead platform readiness, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting scalable, cloud-native full-stack applications
• 5+ years of experience building modern front-end applications using TypeScript and React
• Proven experience setting technical direction and standards across multiple teams or a platform
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, preferably TypeScript, building APIs and data integration layers at scale
• Deep experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB
• Experience integrating and aggregating data and content from multiple independent backend/domain services into a single UI
• Strong knowledge of distributed cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CDK, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and Backstage
• Experience building responsive, secure, high-performance UIs using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures such as Module Federation and shared shell/component patterns
• Experience establishing automated end-to-end and UI testing frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
• Diligence in peer code review, particularly reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability
• Ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction without direct management authority
• Strong focus on scalability, data integrity, reliability, and quality engineering practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to lead complex, cross-team initiatives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
