• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to application code quality and testing strategies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows and use Docker for consistent local and development environments.
• Work with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures to deploy and operate production applications.
• Research and evaluate technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and other engineering workflows.
• Collaborate directly with clients through regular meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles within a small, autonomous engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions
• Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or a similar modern frontend framework
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization
• Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, and maintainable development practices
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience deploying or supporting cloud-based applications
• Experience contributing to architecture and technical design decisions for production applications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a small, collaborative engineering team
• Demonstrated practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
• Ability to clearly articulate the current capabilities and limitations of AI tools in software engineering, including accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible use
