InterContinental Recruiting is seeking an experienced Power Generation Mechanic to support operation, maintenance, testing, repair and servicing of electrical generating equipment in Germany. You will work across electrical systems, power distribution, and related assets in varied environments, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

The role requires the ability to read schematics, use test equipment, and perform inspections; travel and flexible on-site work may be involved,

Qualifikationen

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or licenses.
  • 2–5 years of related experience in power generation or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and perform inspections.
  • EU resident or eligible to work in Germany; accommodation provided.

Aufgaben

  • Inspect electrical equipment for damage, corrosion and operation.
  • Connect and use test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Erect, repair, and service power distribution systems and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain generating equipment and associated systems.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and maintenance data to prevent failures.
  • Follow USAF and company safety, hazardous materials and quality standards.
  • Participate in emergency response tasks and safety committees.

Jobbeschreibung

Purpose and Scope: Are you an experienced Power Generation Mechanic with a strong background in maintaining and operating electrical generating equipment? We have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our team and contribute to the operation, maintenance, testing, repair, and servicing of various electrical systems and equipment, while ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Examines electrical equipment and systems for damages, corrosion and operation.
  • Connects and utilizes test equipment and meters such as voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Uses common hand tools, tubing and conduit benders, hand and motor operated conduit threading machines, soldering irons and grounding systems.
  • Erects, repairs and services electrical power distribution systems and equipment.
  • Operates, maintains, tests, repairs, services, and stores electrical generating equipment, water distribution systems, flood lights, air compressors, and aircraft arresting systems.
  • Bench checks repairable components, subassemblies, and solid state components by using test equipment, load banks, and other equipment as may be required by technical data.
  • Tests required gauges and meters to assure accuracy and reliability.
  • Interprets electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance malfunction data related to assigned equipment to prevent potential systems failure.
  • Analyzes malfunctions by inspection, observation of operation, and use of test equipment.
  • Repairs, inspects, fabricates, cleans, operates, maintains, corrosion controls, reconstitutes, and prepares BEAR assets/equipment air/sea/road haul shipments in accordance with USAF and company directives.
  • Performs required inspections and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoots repair situations, and performs other maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Interprets electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Conforms to USAF and company safety, hazardous material and quality standards.
  • Performs maintenance in accordance with USAF and company directives.
  • Assists in the erection, construction and operation of Bare Base power generation and associated equipment to support real world exercises and contingencies.
  • Performs servicing and/or maintenance of in-use assets as required.
  • Ensures all tools, personal protective equipment and clothing issued remain safe, secure and serviceable, reporting any deficiencies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational/technical training, licenses, or certificates
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Primary and Secondary Power Equipment training
  • Electrical Safety training
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics and perform technical inspections
  • EU resident and/or authorized to work in Germany
  • Accommodation provided at no charge
  • Additional $500 per month meal allowance
  • Mobilization and demobilization costs covered
  • Travel costs covered
  • German employment contract with access to holiday pay and health insurance
  • Additional base insurance provided.
  • Work Environment and Other Responsibilities: This position involves working in various environments, including office settings, shipboard, labs, and outdoor locations. Routine lifting up to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling, and carrying may be required. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams.
