Job summary

Nordex is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to define the power converter concept and detailed specifications for our wind turbine generator systems. You will collaborate with manufacturers to validate converter components and produce clear technical documentation.

You will support inspections at Asian suppliers, assist sourcing with alternative parts, and develop MATLAB-based tools for design and validation, contributing to certification and product reliability.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• +3 years in wind turbine sector.

Responsibilities

• Define concept and detailed specifications of the Power Converter for Nordex WTGs.
• Create converter sub-assemblies design and testing specifications with manufacturers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the main converter.
• Provide technical support for inspections and tests at Asian suppliers' facilities.
• Assist Sourcing in identifying and validating alternative converter subcomponents.
• Develop and maintain MATLAB-based software tools for converter design and validation.
• Perform calculations with software tools to validate hardware components.
• Define converter system test specifications and validate results on benches.
• Support WTG certification by preparing required technical documentation.

Job description

Responsibilities：

• 1. Define concept and detailed specifications of the Power Converter of the Nordex WTGs based on the Power Electric system specifications.
  依据风电电气系统技术规范，定义恩德风电机组功率变流器的设计理念与详细技术规格。
• 2. Create converter sub-assemblies design and tests specifications and collaborate with the manufacturers in the validation of the converter parts.
  制定变流器组件设计及测试规范，并协同制造商完成变流器零部件的验证工作。
• 3. Create and maintain technical documentation related to main converter: specifications, manuals, instructions.
  编制并维护功率变流器主体相关技术文件，包括技术规范、使用手册、操作说明等。
• 4. Support inspections and tests locally in Asian suppliers facilities.
  为亚洲地区供应商现场的检验与测试工作提供技术支持。
• 5. Support Sourcing department in the identification and validation of converter subcomponents from alternative sources.
  协助采购部门开发备选供应商，完成变流器子部件的筛选与验证。
• 6. Creation, improvement and maintenance of software tools oriented to main converter components design and validation (Matlab based).
  开发、优化并维护用于功率变流器核心部件设计与验证的软件工具（基于 MATLAB）。
• 7. Perform calculations using software tools for hardware components validation.
  运用相关软件工具开展计算分析，完成硬件零部件的验证工作。
• 8. Define converter system test specifications and validate results in stand-alone and generator-connected test benches.
  制定变流器系统测试规范，并在独立测试台及发电机并网测试成结果验证。
• 9. Provide technical support to the WTG certification by preparing whatever technical documentation required by the certification body.
  按认证机构要求编制相关技术文件，为风电机组认证提供技术支持。

Qualifications

• 1. M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar.
  电气工程、电力系统专业硕士或本科学历，或相关专业同等学历。
• 2. English fluent spoken and written
  英语口语及书写流利。
• 3. +3 years in the wind turbine sector
  拥有 3 年及以上风电行业相关工作经验。
