Job summary

Institut für Herz- und Kreislaufphysiologie in Göttingen is inviting applications for a PostDoc position (f/m/d) to develop new optogenetic approaches for stimulating muscle cells. The project spans HEK293 cells, skeletal and smooth muscle, and cardiomyocytes, with emphasis on channelrhodopsins and optoGPCRs.

You will design new constructs, perform functional readouts in hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, supervise students, and contribute to funding while collaborating with the Göttingen Campus and

We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated PostDoc with an interest in developing new optogenetic approaches to stimulate muscle cells. The successful applicant will be part of the Göttingen Campus and can be associated to the FOR 5807, SFB1690 and EKFZ for optogenetic therapies. He/she/it will explore new channelrhodopsins and optoGPCRs in HEK293 cells, skeletal muscle, smooth muscle cells and cardiomyocytes.
