The Institute for Heart- and Circulatory Physiology at the University Medical Center Göttingen invites applications for a PostDoc position (f/m/d) starting 01.01.2027. The role can be full-time or part-time for two years with a possible extension.

The successful applicant will develop optogenetic approaches to stimulate muscle cells and collaborate within the Göttingen Campus network. Responsibilities include designing and cloning constructs, functional readouts in hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes,

Qualifications

The Institut für Herz- und Kreislaufphysiologie of the University Medical Center Göttingen is looking for a new position to 01.01.2027 PostDoc position (f/m/d) full time, part time, two years with the possibility of extension We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated PostDoc with an interest in developing new optogenetic approaches to stimulate muscle cells. The successful applicant will be part of the Göttingen Campus and can be associated to the FOR 5807, SFB1690 and EKFZ for optogenetic therapies. He/she/it will explore new channelrhodopsins and optoGPCRs in HEK293 cells, skeletal muscle, smooth muscle cells and cardiomyocytes.
