EBA CLEARING in Frankfurt is seeking a PMO Lead to manage the PMO within the Corporate Technology Unit, overseeing governance, portfolio management and continuous improvement across projects and operations.

You will collaborate with project managers, technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery, while driving standardization and lean improvements.

The role emphasizes reporting, risk tracking and escalation, with a focus on efficiency and transparency across CTU.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in PMO, project management or governance roles.
• Experience reporting on progress, risks, issues, dependencies and timelines.
• Audit coordination, risk tracking or governance experience.
• Experience in tech/financial services/regulatory environments preferred.
• Familiarity with PM methodologies and Lean/Six Sigma advantageous.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365 and dashboards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; proactive and autonomous.
• Experience in multicultural, multi-locational work environment.
• Fluency in English; other European languages advantageous.

The position

The PMO Lead is responsible for managing the Project Management Office (PMO) and supporting the Corporate Technology Unit (CTU) in project governance, portfolio management, business management, process improvement and operational excellence.

The PMO Lead reports to the Head of Corporate Technology Unit and works closely with project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders and management to ensure projects and operational activities are delivered efficiently, consistently and in accordance with established governance standards.

The role combines project governance, business management support, audit coordination, risk tracking and continuous improvement responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to improving organisational efficiency, transparency and delivery performance across the Corporate Technology Unit.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain a clear view of the CTU project portfolio, including priorities, progress, risks, issues, dependencies and resource needs.
• Help project teams apply governance, reporting, documentation and decision-making standards in a consistent and practical way.
• Prepare dashboards, KPIs, reports and briefing materials that give management the information needed to make timely decisions.
• Follow up on actions, decisions, risks, audit findings and remediation plans, making sure ownership is clear and progress is visible.
• Support planning, prioritisation, budget monitoring and resource discussions across CTU initiatives.
• Look for practical ways to improve processes, controls, service quality and operational effectiveness.
• Promote standardization, good practices and Lean continuous improvement approaches across the Company.
• Coordinate governance meetings, portfolio reviews, stakeholder input, action items and follow-up in a clear and structured way.
• Support project delivery by monitoring performance, suggesting improvement actions, and when required, ensuring timely escalation.
• Guide and develop the PMO and support team, creating clarity on priorities, responsibilities and expected outcomes.
• Overall responsibility of smooth running of IT help desk and Customer Support

Skills requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or another relevant discipline.
• At least five years of experience in PMO, project management, business management, operational excellence or a similar governance role.
• Experience managing or coordinating project portfolios, with the ability to report clearly on progress, risks, issues, dependencies and timelines.
• Experience supporting audit coordination, risk tracking, compliance follow-up or governance activities.
• Experience in technology, financial services, payments, critical infrastructure or another regulated environment would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, governance practices, operational excellence and delivery tools; certification such as PMI, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Practical experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365 and reporting or dashboarding tools.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• A proactive, self-starting style and the confidence to move topics forward with limited supervision.
• Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-locational work environment.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and spoken. Other European languages would be an advantage.
