My client in the machinery manufacturing industry based in the South-West of Germany is looking for freelance PLC programmers experienced with Siemens and Rockwell automation packages to help drive their projects forward to meet customer demands.

Operating in the industries of Pharma, Food and FMCG, they have a large portfolio of machine products that service numerous large-scale clients for their production and packaging activities, and they are looking for people who have previous knowhow in these fields.

We are looking for:

• 5+ years experience in PLC / HMI programming with Siemens / Rockwell automation (ideally on packaging or production machinery for food/pharma/FMCG)
• Experience with design, development, programming and commissioning special machinery for large-scale manufacturing operations
• Willingness to be on-site in the South-West of Germany with occasional trips to customer locations across Germany
• The ability to take the initiative and responsibility to hit the ground running and operate efficiently with other team members
• Experience with MES is highly beneficial
• Strong technical German is a must for this role
