KWS LOCHOW GmbH in Bergen, Germany seeks a Plant Breeding Trial Technician (m/f/d) to manage field trials for hybrid rye. You will organize sowing, harvesting, and data collection to support high-performing rye varieties.

The role requires training or degree in Agriculture or related field, plus travel up to 10%. You will work with international teams and support seasonal staff in a permanent, full-time position.

• Strong knowledge of crop production and field trial management.

Responsabilités

• Planning, establishing, and managing field trials in the area of hybrid rye.
• Organizing sowing, harvesting, and crop management activities.
• Timely collection of trait data and statistical analysis of results.
• Preparing source material for internal analyses.
• Maintaining the relevant database area and ensuring data integration in breeding.
• Documenting results and processes per internal quality standards.
• Collaborating with rye breeding teams in Germany and Poland.
• Providing technical guidance to seasonal staff.

As part of our international rye breeding team, you will be responsible for the technical management of field trials in hybrid rye breeding, making an important contribution to the development of high-performing rye varieties.
This exciting position is permanent and offered on a full-time basis.

Your Responsibilities – Diverse and Rewarding:

• Planning, establishing, and managing field trials in the area of hybrid rye
• Organizing sowing, harvesting, and crop management activities
• Timely collection of trait data and statistical analysis of results
• Preparing source material for internal analyses
• Maintaining the relevant database area and ensuring efficient integration of data generated within the breeding program
• Documenting results and processes in accordance with our internal quality management standards
• Collaborating closely with rye breeding teams in Germany and Poland
• Providing technical guidance and support to seasonal staff

Bring in your strengths:

• Completed vocational training or a degree in Agriculture, Horticultural Sciences, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of crop production, ideally with experience in field trial management
• Independent working style, team spirit and a high sense of responsibility
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Good knowledge of standard MS Office applications
• Fluent German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally (up to 10%)
