• Investigate moderately complex and complex liability claims and CPL losses.
• Analyze coverage and review policy language.
• Obtain recorded statements and evaluate liability and damages.
• Handle demands and issue payments to appropriate parties.
• Negotiate settlements following business unit best practices.
• Review medical reports for settlement evaluation and coordinate appraisal for complex disputes.
• Determine and explain coverage limits and claim value; set reserves and document rationale.
• Serve as primary contact for policyholder attorneys and lead negotiations; draft and respond to attorney correspondence.
• Research customer communications and maintain claim notes and decision documentation.
• Refer cases requiring litigation expertise when needed.

• Investigate moderately complex and complex comprehensive personal liability claims, including representative moderate and major CPL losses
• Analyze coverage and review policy language
• Obtain recorded statements
• Evaluate liability and damages
• Handle demands and issue payments to appropriate parties
• Negotiate and settle claims according to business unit best practices
• Review medical reports for claims settlement evaluation
• Coordinate appraisal for highly complex, disputed claims
• Determine and explain coverage limits and claim value
• Set and update reserves and document rationale and claim summary notes
• Act as primary contact for policyholder attorneys and lead direct negotiations
• Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, information requests, and demands
• Research and respond to customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues
• Summarize documents and maintain claim system notes, evaluations, and decision-making documentation
• Refer claims requiring additional expertise for litigation handling

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience
• Adjuster License; an adjuster's license must be obtained as a condition of employment
• Strong negotiating experience
• Policy interpretation experience
• Experience handling third-party bodily injury claims arising from homeowners, renters, landlord, ATV, boat, and golf cart insurance policies
• Home office with a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions
• Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download/5 MB upload
• Appropriate work surface and seating
• Must live in the United States
• Not available to California, Alaska, Washington, or Hawaii residents
• Successful background investigation required
• Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas
