Your Mission

As our People & Culture Manager, you will independently manage the entire employee lifecycle and ensure that our employees experience the best possible employee journey – both in English and German.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruiting to offboarding
• Independently steering the recruitment process for various roles
• Acting as a sparring partner for managers on all HR-related matters
• Planning and implementing Learning & Development and employee engagement initiatives
• Overseeing onboarding, performance management, and feedback processes
• Further developing our people processes, policies, and HR structures
• Handling administrative tasks: preparing employment contracts, contract amendments, and HR documents; maintaining and enhancing our HR systems and personnel data
• Collaborating with external partners (e.g. tax advisors, legal counsel, health insurance providers)
• Ensuring professional, legally compliant, and efficient HR management

Your Profile

Minimum requirements for the position / must-haves

Professional Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience as an HR Generalist, People & Culture Manager, or in a comparable role, ideally within a start‑up environment
• Experience covering the entire employee lifecycle: you have managed everything from administration and recruiting to employee relations

Technical Skills

• You are familiar with HR and Applicant Tracking Systems (we use Tellent & Recruitee) and can quickly get up to speed with new systems
• You are proficient in tools such as Google Suite, Notion, and Slack (we use them daily)

Soft Skills

• You work independently and in a structured manner, taking ownership without relying on detailed instructions
• You are comfortable handling both strategic topics and day-to-day operational tasks
• You are hands‑on, solution-oriented, and adept at finding pragmatic approaches
• You communicate confidently in both German and English with employees, management at all levels, and externally, e.g. with legal advisors

Language Skills

• German: Business fluent / Native speaker
• English: Business fluent

• Making data‑driven decisions is part of your routine, and you can create reports to effectively present insights to management
• You have a solid understanding of German labor law and can support managers with related inquiries; knowledge of labor laws in other European countries is an added advantage
• You have previously managed an HR function independently
