Project Overview:
Our client, a leading body in the German public sector, is embarking on a strategically critical, cross-departmental large-scale IT project. This initiative aims to modernize and integrate complex systems on a national level.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Pega System Architect to take ultimate technical responsibility for the design, stability, and performance of their Pega ecosystem. You will be the key technical authority, bridging the gap between enterprise architecture, development teams, and operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for the planning, design, and implementation of complex Pega-based IT infrastructures.
• Act as the overall technical owner for Pega system architectures, integration projects, and major migrations.
• Guarantee the performance, high availability, stability, and security of mission-critical Pega systems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve high-priority technical incidents (L3 support).
• Drive the adoption of best practices in automation, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), and configuration management (e.g., Ansible).
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between technical delivery and architectural vision.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guidelines.
• Ensure all systems meet stringent public sector security and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to project and operations team members.

Your Profile (Must-Have Skills):

• Pega Expertise:5+ years of professional experience as aLeadorSenior Pega System Architect/Engineer.
• Project Leadership:Proven track record of leading the technical implementation of complex Pega projects.
• Core Infrastructure:Solid, hands-on knowledge of server, storage, network, and virtualization technologies (e.g., Linux, Windows, VMware).
• Cloud & Hybrid Environments:Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift) and designing hybrid architectures.
• Automation & Scripting:Strong skills in automation, scripting (e.g.,Bash, PowerShell, Python), and configuration management tools (e.g.,Ansible, Puppet).
• Performance Management:Demonstrable experience in performance analysis, monitoring, and tuning of large-scale systems.
• Language:Business-fluent Germanis an absolute mandatory requirement.
• Work Style:Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented with a strong focus on execution.
