Job summary

DSR Hotel Holding GmbH Rostock is seeking a Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) on a parental leave cover basis for 35 hours per week in Rostock. You will manage end-to-end payroll processes and support staff with payroll questions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will work with payroll software (ideally edlohn) and MS Office, maintain personnel data, and liaise with insurers and authorities. The role requires initiative, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a tax clerk and/or commercial training with further qualification as payroll accountant.
• Solid knowledge of labour, social security and tax law.
• Proficient with payroll software (ideally edlohn) and the MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll from entry to exit in a timely manner.
• Support employees with payroll-related questions.
• Act as contact for insurers and authorities.
• Maintain personnel master data in the payroll system and electronic personnel file.
• Check payroll data for tax and social security criteria.
• Prepare personnel statistics and monthly/annual financial statements.
• Assist external social security and payroll tax audits.

Your tasks:

• Responsible for the timely processing of payroll accounting from entry to exit
• Supporting employees in all payroll-related issues
• Contact person for insurance providers and authorities
• Entering and maintaining personnel master data in the payroll system and in the electronic personnel file
• Maintaining and checking payroll-relevant data according to tax and social security criteria
• Preparation of personnel statistics and analyses as well as preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Support for external social security and payroll tax audits

You bring with you:

• Successfully completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) and/or commercial training with further training as a payroll accountant as well as relevant professional experience in payroll accounting
• Sound knowledge of labour, social security and tax law
• Confident handling of payroll programmes (ideally "edlohn") and the MS Office package
• A high degree of initiative, flexibility and motivation
• An independent and committed way of working
• Enjoy working in a team as well as very good communication skills and a confident demeanour
• A structured and service-orientated way of working
