Job summary

DSR Hotel Holding GmbH Berlin is seeking a Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) on a parental leave cover for 35 hours a week in Berlin. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, support colleagues with payroll queries, and liaise with insurers and authorities.

Strong knowledge of labour, social security and tax law is required, along with experience in payroll software and MS Office. The role offers a fixed-term contract with up to two remote working days per week and attractive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accounting from start to finish in a timely manner.

• Enter and maintain personnel master data in the payroll system and electronic files.
• Ensure payroll data complies with tax and social security rules.
• Prepare personnel statistics and monthly/annual financial statements.
• Support external social security and payroll tax audits.

Your tasks:

• Responsible for the timely processing of payroll accounting from entry to exit
• Supporting employees in all payroll-related issues
• Contact person for insurance providers and authorities
• Entering and maintaining personnel master data in the payroll system and in the electronic personnel file
• Maintaining and checking payroll-relevant data according to tax and social security criteria
• Preparation of personnel statistics and analyses as well as preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Support for external social security and payroll tax audits

You bring with you:

• Successfully completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) and/or commercial training with further training as a payroll accountant as well as relevant professional experience in payroll accounting
• Sound knowledge of labour, social security and tax law
• Confident handling of payroll programmes (ideally "edlohn") and the MS Office package
• A high degree of initiative, flexibility and motivation
• An independent and committed way of working
• Enjoy working in a team as well as very good communication skills and a confident demeanour
• A structured and service-orientated way of working
