Job summary

meteocontrol GmbH sucht eine Fachkraft für OT/ICS-Sicherheit und Netzwerktechnik zur Implementierung sicherer Netze und Cybersecurity-Lösungen fürSolarenergie-Anlagen. Sie arbeiten eng mit Kunden und Lieferanten zusammen, gestalten Architekturen und prüfen Risiken.

Sie bringen Erfahrung in OT/ICS-Security, Netzwerktechnik und Standards wie IEC 62443 mit. Die Rolle erfordert eigenverantwortliche, lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise und Kooperationsfähigkeit im Projektumfeld.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschul- oder Fachhochschulstudium in Informatik, Cybersecurity, Elektrotechnik, Automatisierungstechnik, Nachrichtentechnik oder einem verwandten Feld.
• Berufserfahrung oder praktische Kenntnisse in OT/ICS-Security, industrieller Netzwerktechnik oder Netzwerktechnik.
• Gute Kenntnisse von Netzwerktechnologien und Protokollen (TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Firewalls) sowie von IDS/IPS, SIEM und Netzüberwachung.

Responsibilities

• Implementieren und Kommissionieren von Netz- und Cybersicherheitslösungen für PV- und BESS-Anlagen.
• Entwerfen sicherer OT-Netzwerkarchitekturen inkl. Segmentierung, Firewalls, sicherem Fernzugriff und Systemhärtung.
• Durchführung von Sicherheitsbewertungen, Risikobewertungen und Dokumentation.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden, Lieferanten und Projekten zur Umsetzung von Sicherheitskonzepten.

About us

Your mission:

• Implement and commission network and cybersecurity solutions for utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Design and implementation of secure OT (Operational Technology) network architectures, including network segmentation, firewall configuration, secure remote access, and system hardening.
• Integrate and configure network security solutions, including firewalls, managed switches, and monitoring systems, in close collaboration with your colleagues
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk assessments for industrial control systems in renewable energy plants.
• Implement and improve cybersecurity measures in line with relevant standards and requirements, such as IEC 62443, NIS2, and KRITIS.
• Coordinate technical requirements and security concepts with customers, suppliers, and other project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Document network architectures, security configurations, risk assessments, and implementation procedures to support secure operations and compliance requirements.
• Take a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to technical challenges and continuously improve our cybersecurity solutions.

Your profile:

• Degree or vocational training in computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, automation technology, communications engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience or a strong practical background in OT/ICS (Industrial Control Systems) security, industrial networking, or network engineering.
• Good knowledge of network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and industrial communication protocols.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network monitoring, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, secure remote access, access control, and system hardening.
• Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements, particularly IEC 62443, NIS2, and KRITIS.
• Experience with threat modelling, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, or security documentation is desirable.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on mentality, willingness to take ownership, and ability to work effectively in a project-based environment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
