Operations applications specialist (m / f / d)

Landewyck, a heritage tobacco manufacturer with over 175 years of history, is evolving. With the changing times, we have embarked on an innovative journey to develop Next Generation Products that meet the diverse needs of consumers worldwide.

We are looking for an Operations applications specialist, who’ll be responsible for the support, maintenance, and evolution of critical production-related applications, particularly the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and its satellite systems.

Your responsibility :

• Provide Level 2 and 3 support for the MES and associated production applications. (E.g. Manage application issues that arise during or outside the work hours according to agreed schedules for on‑call hours)
• Maintain effective relationships with technicians and production team to ensure appropriate levels of support; work in close collaboration with 1st level support and external personnel support; perform risk and impact analysis for any changes in the application
• Participate in change management, testing, and deployment of application updates and enhancements.
• Contribute to project implementation aimed at improving production processes.
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices.
• Train and support key users on operation related applications.
• Conduct technological watch on industrial solutions and propose improvement opportunities.

Your Profile :

• Master degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Experience on SAP MII or any other MES systems.
• Experience with SQL databases, APIs, OPC communication.
• Coding skills.
• Strong customer service oriented.
• Be able to work under minimum supervision.
• Have excellent analytical, problem solving and resource-management skills.
• Fluent in English, French or German will be considered an asset.
