Samaritan Hospital - Macon, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for day shifts to provide direct patient care and support the licensed nurse in charge. You will help with activities of daily living, maintain a clean, safe environment, and document care as required by policy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and may have certification as a Nursing Assistant; previous experience is desirable but not required. A basic comfort with telemetry and computer tasks is a plus.

• Offers emotional support to the patient’s family as needed.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Collects patient data and documents accurately.
• Charts procedures and patient care as outlined by policy.
• Reports patient condition to appropriate nursing personnel during and at completion of each shift.

• Assists Med/Surg staff with monitoring of telemetry alarms
