Zusammenfassung

Annapurna IT in Cologne is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join its growing IT security team. You will support customer network and security infrastructure, handling incidents across LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall environments.

You will work in a managed services context, collaborating with 2nd line and 1st line teams while continually developing expertise in network and cyber security. German and English communication with customers is required.

Qualifikationen

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto, WatchGuard).
• Experience with monitoring and ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Linux knowledge and experience.
• Fluent German and English communication with customers.
• Growth mindset in learning network and cyber security.

We're supporting a growing IT security organisation in Cologne that is looking for a Network Support Engineer to join its support team.

You'll work in a managed service environment, supporting customer network and security infrastructure and helping resolve technical issues across LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Troubleshooting network and security incidents within 2nd level support
• Administering and operating firewall environments and Implementing firewall rule changes and security optimisations
• Diagnosing issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, routing and switching
• Monitoring and maintaining customer environments whilst supporting customer projects and new network/security implementations
• Supporting 1st level teams with technical escalations
• Investigating security events and supporting incident response
• Documenting incidents, changes and technical solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DNS and DHCP
• Hands-on experience with at least one firewall technology such as Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto or WatchGuard
• Experience with monitoring and ticketing systems
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Linux knowledge & experience
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers in German and English
• A genuine growth mindset in learning and developing further within network and cyber security

Nice To Have

• Hands-on experience with at least one firewall technology such as Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto or WatchGuard
• SIEM or security monitoring experience
