Job description

As part of the SoC Delivery organization, you will be responsible for bringing complex mechanical and electromechanical products into production while ensuring manufacturability, quality, cost efficiency, and long-term product sustainability.

You will act as the interface between R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, and external manufacturing partners. A key focus of the role is the thermal management and cooling of high-performance electronic assemblies used in advanced semiconductor test systems.

This role combines mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrialization, product lifecycle management, and thermal design.

Responsibilities

• Drive the industrialization of new mechanical and electromechanical products from development through volume production.
• Work closely with R&D teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, quality, serviceability, and long-term support.
• Define and optimize manufacturing concepts for complex mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing partners to solve technical production challenges.
• Lead engineering changes, product enhancements, and lifecycle management activities for released products.
• Support product transfers, NPI, SOP, production ramp-ups, and sustaining engineering.
• Drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, manufacturability, and supply performance.
• Evaluate and optimize mechanical manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to manufacturing and product performance.

Thermal Management & Cooling Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize thermal concepts for high-performance electronic systems.
• Support the cooling design of PCBAs, processors, SoCs, power electronics, and high-density electronic assemblies.
• Define thermal paths, heat dissipation concepts, and mechanical integration strategies.
• Work with cooling solutions including:
• Air cooling
• Liquid / water cooling
• Cold plates
• Heat sinks
• Thermal interface materials (TIMs)
• Cooling units and cooling distribution systems
• Support thermal validation, environmental testing, qualification, and design improvements.
• Collaborate with thermal, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams to achieve reliable long-term product performance.
