Our client is a technology-driven organization specializing in the development of advanced electromechanical systems for high-performance aerial platforms. The company delivers integrated hardware and software solutions that combine structural design, energy systems, and embedded technologies. Its products operate in safety-critical environments where performance, reliability, and manufacturability are essential.

Mission

The mission of this role is to drive the mechanical design and industrialization of key structural components within advanced aerial systems. This position contributes to the full product lifecycle, from early concept development to production readiness, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable design solutions.

Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Engineering
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for structural components and assemblies based on system-level inputs.
  • Perform engineering analyses to support design decisions, including structural sizing, load paths, and mass optimization.
  • Contribute to overall system layout by balancing performance, integration constraints, and production considerations.
Prototype Development & Validation
  • Support the fabrication and evaluation of prototypes using both conventional and rapid manufacturing techniques.
  • Iterate designs based on testing outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement of performance and reliability.
Manufacturing & Process Definition
  • Design and refine tooling, fixtures, and assembly concepts to support efficient production.
  • Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
  • Define assembly sequences and contribute to production ramp-up activities.
Engineering Data & Configuration Management
  • Generate and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and process definitions.
  • Structure and manage product data within PLM systems, ensuring consistency across revisions.
Collaboration & Technical Coordination
  • Interface with cross-functional engineering teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Support sourcing and technical evaluation of components for prototypes and pre-series builds.
  • Contribute to design reviews and iterative development cycles.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development within complex engineering environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD tools (any leading platform), with experience handling complex assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including material selection, tolerancing, and structural behavior.
  • Experience working across the product lifecycle, including concept design, prototyping, and transition to production.
  • Ability to interpret system-level requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
