Job summary

Emerson in Germany seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design chassis for system-level and customized products, including heat sinks and cooling plates using CAD tools.

You will create detailed part and assembly drawings, support production and purchasing during new product introductions, and optimize cooling solutions across products while collaborating with hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD systems (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Solid Edge.
• Knowledge of thermal analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), ideally using FloTHERM.
• Understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems and engineering data management processes.
• Knowledge of injection-molded plastic part design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of die-cast aluminum part design and manufacturing.
• Experience developing cooling solutions for electronic products.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic hardware design considerations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience participating in technical discussions with customers to define product requirements and specifications.
• Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented approach.
