Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a PMO Manager to lead project execution, ensure process adherence, and develop team members across engineering, regional managers, finance, and account teams. The role focuses on delivering programs within PMO guidelines and driving continuous improvement.

The PMO Manager will forecast timelines, manage staffing, and oversee cost control while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to SLAs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience managing project managers in a professional services and/or managed service environment.
  • 5+ years PMO management experience.
  • Strong leadership capability to develop talent and engagement.
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across functions based on trust and respect.
  • Promote inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences to achieve results.
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think innovatively and implement change.
  • Able to forecast future trends and manage change.
  • Ability to think innovatively and have strong issue resolution skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • PMP certification through PMI preferred.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Ensure projects are planned and executed in line with the PMO methodology.
  • Maintain focus on methodologies and deployment process improvements.
  • Inspect project deliverables.
  • Work with Sales, Project Managers, and deployment resources to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and SLAs are met or exceeded.
  • Understand financial and cost control practices.
  • Accurately forecast project end dates and drive realization.
  • Responsible for personnel management and development.
  • Recruitment, interviewing, and forecasting staffing needs.
  • Staffing and utilization management.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and create training plans to improve performance.
  • Build a high-performance team with high morale.
  • Ensure team meets schedule, scope, and financial milestones.
  • Provide oversight on day-to-day project aspects.
  • Manage issues and risk mitigation effectively.
  • Communicate escalations and project concerns promptly.
  • Maintain PM rigor and lessons learned.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors.
  • Report on key metrics regularly.

  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Takes calculated risks with consultation from the expert.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $155,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

The PMO Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects, ensuring process adherence, individual team member development, and creating a positive work environment.
