Human Factors Manager (m/f/d) – Lead Strategic Growth in Ergonomics (Germany)
The Opportunity

Actual Group is looking for a dynamic Human Factors professional to drive expanding operations in Germany on behalf of a premier European consultancy. Are you an established Manager looking for a highly specialized new challenge, or a Senior Consultant ready to make the leap into your first formal leadership position? In this pivotal role, you will champion the well-being of operators and the performance of complex industrial and aerospace systems, while taking ownership of team leadership, business development, and strategic growth across their German hubs.

About the Company

They are a rapidly growing European consultancy leading the way in human factors and ergonomics. With over 120 experts across multiple international sites (including France, Germany, and Spain), they support major industrial transformations through a unique blend of human science, user-centered innovation, and cutting-edge design. Their mission is to create remarkable human experiences that are efficient, safe, and desirable.

Your Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, guide, and support a dedicated local team of 2-3 specialized consultants in Ergonomics and Human Factors, ensuring operational excellence and a thriving work culture.

  • Business Development: Drive regional growth by proactively identifying market opportunities, securing new assignments in industrial environments, and expanding their footprint in Germany.

  • Client Strategy: Act as the face of the company for their German operations, maintaining and strengthening long‑term relationships with both existing and prospective key clients.

  • Strategic Expansion: Lead the growth and development of their German competence center, coordinating closely with and reporting directly to European Sector Management.

Your Profile
  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant experience integrating human factors, ergonomics, and/or complex systems engineering.

  • Leadership Profile: You are either already an experienced Manager with a track record in team leadership and client relations, or a proven Senior Consultant fully prepared to step up into a management role. Business development experience in industrial sectors is highly valued in either case.

  • Key Skills: You are curious, dynamic, and possess exceptional interpersonal and strategic skills.

  • Languages: Full professional fluency in both English and German is essential. French language skills are considered a strong plus.

  • Mobility: Willingness to undertake regular business trips within Germany and occasionally to France.

  • Work-Life Balance: A permanent, full-time contract (40h) with 30 days of paid annual leave and highly flexible remote working options to be defined together.

  • Health & Mobility Perks: 50% reimbursement of the monthly Deutschlandticket and a €50 monthly contribution toward a gym membership.

  • Career Trajectory: A unique opportunity to build and shape a specialized subsidiary within a highly respected, international group.
