Zusammenfassung

CYBEX is seeking a Manager Biomechanic (m/f/d) for parental leave cover in Bayreuth, Germany. You will lead the biomechanics team in R&D and drive ergonomic requirement profiles for child restraint systems, strollers, carriers, and home products.

You will establish reproducible test methods, evaluate concepts in early development, and ensure ergonomic compliance across drawings and artworks. You will coordinate hands-on testing with families and conduct market research to stay ahead in safety

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical or scientific education (HTL, FH, or university) in biomechanics, ergonomics, biomedicine, or comparable field.
• Genuine interest in ergonomic design and user-centered development, especially for juvenile products.
• Proven experience leading a team and managing daily operations to meet goals.
• Experience working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
• Demonstrated responsibility in safety-relevant tasks and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools for documentation, data evaluation, and presentation.
• Fluent in German and confident in spoken and written English (B1).
• Independent, structured work style with analytical thinking and reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a hands-on mindset.

• Leading the biomechanics team within R&D
• Drive the definition and development of ergonomic and biomechanical requirement profiles to support the safe and user-friendly design of all global juvenile product categories (child restraint systems, stroller, carrier, home products)
• Define reproducible test methods to measure and quantify human design factors. Manage the corresponding laboratory equipment
• Evaluate product concepts in early development stages, ensuring they meet ergonomic and biomechanical standards for comfort, functionality, and user well-being
• Review technical drawings and product artworks to verify compliance with established ergonomic guidelines
• Organize and conduct hands-on product testing with children and parents, gathering structured feedback to drive iterative design improvements
• Recruit, engage, and maintain relationships with product test families, ensuring consistent participation in product evaluation activities
• Conduct technology scouting and market research to identify innovations and emerging trends in ergonomics, comfort, and safety
• Analyze and synthesize findings from scientific studies to inform product development with the latest evidence-based insights
• Lead scientific research projects, including contributions to publications and collaboration with academic or clinical partners
