Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking an LV/MV Electrical Engineer for a major offshore wind project in Germany. The role focuses on reviewing LV design, coordinating electrical handover, and ensuring compliance with DIN/VDE/IEC/EN standards.

You will manage NCRs, punch items, and supplier deviations, while supporting readiness from fabrication through commissioning and operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or comparable qualification in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong experience with LV electrical systems, including design, installation and commissioning.
• Offshore wind, TP/Foundation, marine/offshore or similar industrial project experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and close electrical NCRs, punch items and technical disputes.
• Review LV electrical design and as-built installations against project requirements and German/European standards (DIN/VDE/IEC/EN).
• Review LV distribution, cabling, protection, earthing/bonding, lighting, auxiliary systems and electrical interfaces.
• Assess technical deviations and corrective actions proposed by suppliers.
• Follow up electrical inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure complete electrical handover documentation (as-built drawings, cable schedules, test records, certificates, NCR/punch closure evidence and O&M documentation).
• Identify documentation gaps and drive contractors toward final closure and acceptance.
• Support electrical readiness and handover from fabrication/construction to commissioning and operations.
