Job summary

SOLPLANET GmbH in Ratingen, Germany, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our international team. You will create, organize and archive shipping documents, coordinate sea, air and land freight, track shipments, and ensure accurate data in ERP and WMS for full traceability.

You will liaise with procurement, sales and warehouse, monitor costs and invoices, and contribute to process improvements. English and German at working level are required; a Bachelor's degree in logistics or related

• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP/TMS is a plus.
• English and German working level required; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, organize, and archive shipping documents and logistics records in ERP/WMS for full traceability.
• Coordinate sea, air, and land freight, track shipment status, and resolve delivery issues.
• Liaise with procurement, sales and warehouse to facilitate order processing and issue resolution.
• Compile logistics data, generate cost reports, and support invoicing and cost control.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and support process improvements and equipment management initiatives.

1. Document and System Management

• Create, organize, and archive shipping documents, transportation records, customs clearance files, and other logistics documentation, ensuring accurate entry into ERP, WMS, and other systems for full traceability.
• Maintain logistics data in real time, synchronizing information on goods received, dispatched, and in transit status.

2. Transportation and Distribution Coordination

• Coordinate with carriers (sea, air, and land freight) to arrange goods receipt and delivery, manage daily transportation tasks, track shipment status, and promptly address anomalies such as delays or damage.
• Support carrier selection and cost optimization through rate comparisons and service evaluations.

3. Communication and Cross Functional Coordination

• Liaise with internal teams including procurement, sales, and warehouse, as well as external customers, carriers, and freight forwarders, to facilitate order processing, handover, and issue resolution.

4. Reporting and Cost Support

• Compile logistics-related data and generate reports on transportation, inventory, and costs, assisting in logistics performance analysis.
• Participate in invoice verification, cost accrual, and settlement processes to support cost control efforts.

5. Ad Hoc and Special Tasks

• Complete special assignments as directed by supervisors, such as coordinating cross-region shipments or return logistics, and support process improvements and equipment management initiatives

Requirements

Education & Major:

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related fields.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (basic Excel functions required). Experience with ERP, TMS, or other logistics systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical sensitivity, excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• English and German proficiency at a working level is required; Chinese or other foreign languages are an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work overtime when necessary. Prior internship or work experience in logistics or warehousing is preferred.
