piezosystem jena GmbH, based in Jena, Germany, seeks a practically minded and reliable person to keep warehousing, shipping and material movements running and to ensure day-to-day operations simply work.

You will take on a varied role with significant personal responsibility, including overseeing operational infrastructure and small organisational tasks around the site.

Qualifikationen

• Ideal background in warehousing, logistics, shipping or similar field.
• Practical, hands-on skills and good technical understanding.
• Independent, structured and reliable working style.
• Ability to take responsibility for own area and keep overview with multiple tasks.
• Strong organisational skills; able to manage several tasks at once.
• Confident PC use; ERP system experience is a plus.

• Receiving, checking and booking incoming goods.

Your Chance

For our site in Jena, we are looking for a practically minded and reliable person to keep our internal processes around warehousing, shipping and material movements running – and to make sure that day-to-day operations simply work.

You will take on a varied role with a great deal of personal responsibility. Alongside classic logistics tasks, your area of responsibility will also include looking after our operational infrastructure as well as smaller practical and organisational tasks around our site.

In short: you keep an overview, roll up your sleeves and make sure things work.

Your Tasks

• Receiving, checking and booking incoming goods
• Storing materials and providing them to our production department
• Order picking and in-house material transport
• Packing and preparing our products for national and international shipping
• Preparing and processing shipping and accompanying documents
• Organising and coordinating parcel services and freight forwarders
• Maintaining stock levels and supporting stocktaking
• Ensuring order and structure in warehousing, shipping and general operational areas
• Organising and coordinating necessary maintenance, repair and service activities
• Carrying out minor repairs and practical work where this can be done independently
• Looking after and monitoring our operational facilities and outdoor areas
• Acting as contact person for external tradespeople and service providers
• Supporting internal relocations, events and other organisational tasks
• General support wherever day-to-day operations call for a pragmatic solution and a helping hand

Your Profile

• Ideally experience in warehousing, logistics, shipping or a comparable field
• Practical/manual skills and a good technical understanding
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working
• Enjoyment in taking responsibility for your own area of work
• Organisational talent and the ability to keep an overview even with several tasks at once
• Confident use of the PC; experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Team spirit, flexibility and a strong hands-on mentality
