Unzer’s Legal Team protects the business, ensures compliance, and supports growth in the highly regulated payments sector. You will provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice with speed and integrity, partnering with teams across the company to drive success.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements in German and English, develop contract templates, and monitor regulatory developments to assess impact on the business.

Qualifications

• Preferably full legal qualification (1st and 2nd State Exam) or comparable.
• Strong fintech/payments law background.
• Excellent communication in English and German.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in-house or regulated environment.

• As part of Unzer’s Legal Team, you will help protect the business, ensure compliance, and support growth in the highly regulated payments sector
• Guided by our “merchant first” principle, you will provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice with speed, integrity, and a solution-focused mindset, partnering closely with teams across the company to drive success
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements in both German and English, including contracts with suppliers, partners, and regulatory service providers
• Develop and maintain contract templates, standards, and legal processes to support business efficiency and scalability
• Provide pragmatic and business-focused legal advice on product development, innovation initiatives, and day-to-day legal matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis, translate findings into clear recommendations, and support their implementation across the business
• Partner closely with stakeholders across various functions to facilitate effective collaboration and drive business objectives
• Deliver legal training sessions and share knowledge with internal teams to promote legal awareness and best practices
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments, particularly within the payments and financial services industry, and assess their impact on the business

Preferably a full legal qualification (1st and 2nd State Exam) or comparable.
