Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced schedule reviewer for hyperscale data center programs. You will own and challenge construction schedules, analyze logic, critical paths and float, and ensure alignment with delivery, energization and commissioning timelines.

You will mentor junior reviewers, build benchmarks and templates, and coordinate with program managers while traveling for occasional site visits. This role requires 10–15 years of planning and scheduling experience and familiarity with P6

  • Own the schedule review discipline for a confidential hyperscale data center client
  • Independently review developer construction schedules, including logic, critical path, near-critical activities, float, and sequencing
  • Assess whether delivery, power connection, commissioning, and testing timelines are realistic
  • Review equipment and staffing plans, long-lead equipment orders, and resource loading
  • Distinguish confirmed information from estimates, assumptions, and developer claims
  • Identify risks involving long-lead equipment, permitting, utility connections, seasonal weather, and compressed commissioning windows
  • Track schedule trends and variances across successive reviews and identify likely causes
  • Analyze acceleration options and distinguish genuine recovery measures from cosmetic actions
  • Ensure clear schedule records are handed to onsite construction teams at construction start
  • Define and enforce schedule review checklists, testing depth, and evidence standards
  • Allocate team capacity across concurrent deals based on risk and urgency
  • Quality-control high-stakes findings before client delivery
  • Build and maintain schedule benchmarks for equipment, permitting, energization, and commissioning
  • Train new reviewers and develop less experienced schedule reviewers
  • Improve templates, tools, and checklists as the portfolio and team grow
  • Work closely with Program Managers and leads of other review disciplines
  • Potentially perform applicable SOX control responsibilities
Requirements
  • 10–15 years of planning and scheduling experience
  • Data center or other mission‑critical facility delivery strongly preferred
  • Preferably located in/near San Francisco, CA or Northern Virginia; remote candidates considered if able to travel occasionally for site visits and team collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review and challenge development and construction schedules
  • Prior experience training, mentoring, or reviewing other schedule or planning professionals' work
  • Working fluency in P6 or equivalent scheduling software, including logic, critical path, and float credibility
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) or similar progress‑measurement methods
  • Practical knowledge of long lead equipment timelines, utility and energization sequencing, permitting, and commissioning and testing durations
  • Understanding of acceleration levers in data center construction
  • Ability to deliver difficult findings professionally and hold colleagues' work to the same standard
  • Ability to work from incomplete or dated information and state caveats plainly
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects and team workload
  • Strong written communication
  • AACE PSP or PMI-SP certification is a plus, not required
  • Technologically proficient with MS Suite, Google Workspace, and scheduling software
  • Market sector experience in data center development, mission‑critical facilities, or complex technical and hyperscale buildings strongly preferred
  • P6 or equivalent scheduling software, MS Suite, and Google Workspace
  • Minimal travel, approximately 3 days per month, plus occasional site visits and team collaboration
