- Manage and execute critical power construction projects end-to-end
- Serve as the principal customer point of contact
- Support sales, operations, and service teams from quotation through commissioning and customer acceptance
- Establish and track cost, quality, and schedule objectives
- Provide technical leadership to sales, service teams, and subcontractors
- Maintain expertise in building codes, OSHA standards, environmental regulations, project management, estimating, NFPA codes, and electrical codes
- Plan, maintain, and update project schedules and communicate delays
- Maintain project budgets and control costs within estimated margins
- Manage communications and documentation between the company and customers
- Oversee subcontractor performance and contract/specification compliance
- Perform site walks for quoting and pre- and post-job qualifications
- Review customer specifications and bid documents and prepare change orders
- Apply contingency planning and decision-making during project implementation
- Provide order details to Customer Service Representatives
- Create and maintain project action-item lists
- Direct employees and subcontractors as necessary
- Maintain accurate as-built documentation and punch lists
- Monitor and report project costs, gross profit, and performance metrics
- Provide market feedback to Critical Power management
- Manage business expenses within company guidelines
- Achieve safety, schedule, budget, and cost-variance performance targets
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass pre-employment testing where applicable
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or minimum 10 years of field service, project management, and/or proposal generation experience with critical power distribution systems
- Experience managing construction projects in California under a General Contractor license
- Active California General Contractor Class B license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- 5+ years of construction project management experience with field experience
- Telecom or general contracting environment experience preferred
- Knowledge of CSLB requirements and compliance
- Experience with permitting and inspections in California jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of IEEE, NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, and GR1275
- 5+ years of management experience with demonstrated financial success
- OSHA 30 and NFPA certification
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and across remote offices
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers and listen effective
- Ability to develop and maintain workplace relationships focused on customer satisfaction

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel and possible evenings or weekends
