Job summary

MYNE Homes is seeking a Lead Accounting professional to oversee financial accounting for the international group. You will ensure high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and guide a team of accountants across entities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting, strong HGB knowledge, intercompany experience, and proficiency with DATEV/ERP systems; English and German fluency is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting.
• Commercial/tax-related training or degree in finance/accounting.
• Certification as a CMA/Bilanzbuchhalter or equivalent is a plus.
• Profound knowledge of financial accounting and financial statements under HGB.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and international corporate structures.
• Knowledge of DATEV and modern ERP systems; Odoo is an advantage.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to prioritize, own multiple entities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for financial accounting across the international group.
• Quality assurance of day-to-day accounting operations and transactions.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Review and reconcile GL accounts, AR/AP, bank statements, intercompany balances.
• Timely intercompany reconciliation across all entities.
• Provide technical guidance to team accountants and coordinate with tax advisers and auditors.
• Maintain accounting standards, posting guidelines, and internal controls.
• Identify optimization and automation opportunities in processes.

As a Lead Accounting (m/f/x), you hold the technical responsibility for designated entities within our corporate group. Key priorities include ensuring high-quality and timely financial accounting, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, and continuously developing accounting workflows in close alignment with the Head of Accounting. Additionally, this position acts as a subject matter expert for accountants within the scope of responsibility and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders as well as external tax advisors and auditors.

Your mission

• Technical responsibility for financial accounting across out international coporate group.
• Oversight and quality assurance of day-tpday accounting operations, including the review of complex transactions.
• Independent preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
• Timely and accurate intercompany reconciliation across all group entities.
• Technical guidance, support, and work review for team accountants.
• Coordination and collaboration with national and international tax advisors and external auditors.
• Subject matter expertise for internal departments regarding complex accounting queries.
• Maintenance and continuous development of accounting standards, posting guidelines, and internal controls.
• Identification of optimization and automation potential, alongside active refinement of accounting processes.
• Support for the Head of Accounting on group-wide accounting, closing, and reporting initiatives.

Your profile

• Multiple years of relevant professional experience (ideally 5+), with proven expertise in independently managing entities and financial statement closures.
• Successfully completed commercial/tax-related training or a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance/accounting; certification as a Certified Management Accountant (e.g.,Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• Profound knowledge of financial accounting and financial statement preparation under HGB.
• Proficiency in handling complex booking scenarios as well as balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience in intercompany accounting and preferably with international corporate structures.
• Demonstrated track record of working with tax advisors and external auditors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DATEV and/or modern ERP systems; experience with Odoo is an advantage.
• Structured, independent, and solution-driven approach to work paired with a strong hands-on mindset.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, take ownership, and manage multiple entities and tight deadlines simultaneously.
• Enthusiasm for providing technical guidance and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Excel.
