- Act as the key point of contact between Sanford Laboratories and its clients.
- Answer queries, offer advice, and introduce new laboratory products.
- Provide consultation and guidance regarding reference laboratory issues for customers in the designated territory.
- Review sales performance, negotiate contracts, and define scope of services.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Educate, instruct, and upsell assigned and newly generated accounts in a predetermined geographic territory.
- Develop sales strategies for existing and future territories.
- Sell laboratory services by developing relationships with customers and prospects.
- Achieve organizational and territory revenue objectives and grow sales in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize quality, analyze profitability, and build strategic customer relationships.
- Provide ongoing customer service and problem solving within the geographic territory.
- Retain and grow assigned accounts and develop new accounts.
- Identify product improvements and new products by monitoring industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Conduct service reviews and account management activities.
- Maintain accurate records of account management and sales prospecting activities.
- Document sales activities, pipeline, referrals, and forecasts in the client relationship database.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, benchmarking, and professional societies.
- Travel to laboratory sites as needed at leadership's discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences or related fields is required.
- Minimum of two years proven track record of successful sales growth in medical sales.
- Prefer two years' laboratory experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory.
- Two years experience specifically in diagnostic sales preferred.
- Ability to articulate product information when interacting with physicians.
- Passion to contribute to Sanford's culture of accountability, integrity, service, and excellence.
- Current valid driver's license.
- Must meet all guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
- Required to travel to territory locations consistently.
