Our client is a dynamic, privately held pharmaceutical company based in Germany, specializing in the import, quality testing, and distribution of therapeutic products to pharmacies nationwide. As part of an agile and rapidly growing industry sector, the organization is committed to delivering high-quality products and excellent service to healthcare partners, with a focus on innovation, compliance, and patient well-being.

The Key Account Manager will play a crucial hands-on role in driving sales and customer relationships in a fast-paced, scaling business. Acting as a close partner to the Head of Sales, this role involves managing key pharmacy accounts, developing strong client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets. Responsibilities
  • Own and manage relationships with key pharmacy accounts across Germany.
  • Drive sales initiatives, including prospecting, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales to implement strategic plans and meet commercial targets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Contribute to a high-performance sales culture, bringing a hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in a fast-paced, hands-on commercial environment.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, with a strong ability to drive revenue and achieve targets.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort analyzing performance metrics and sales figures.
  • Experience engaging with pharmacies is a plus; direct pharmacist relationships beneficial but not required.
  • Prior exposure to the medical cannabis sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Skilled in negotiation, deal closing, and working towards incentive-driven goals.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Adaptable “scale-up” mentality, comfortable working in a growing and evolving business.
  • Willingness to relocate to Cologne; relocation costs covered by the client.
  • Availability to work from the office in Cologne four days per week.
