Job summary

ESMC is seeking a (Junior) Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily AP activities in a growing, international finance team in Dresden. You will gain hands-on experience with invoice processing, vendor data maintenance and tax information while contributing to efficient financial processes.

The role requires initial experience in accounting, strong German and English communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Initial practical experience in accounting or finance through training, internships or first role.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and interest in HGB/IFRS.
• Structured, accurate work style with responsibility to meet deadlines.
• Confident with MS Office, especially Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
• Very good German and good English communication skills.
• Motivation to learn and grow in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing and payments.
• Post incoming invoices with correct accounts, cost centers and tax data.
• Assist fixed asset accounting and related documentation.
• Support month-end closing activities and timely processing.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities

Support dailyAccounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment preparationand vendor master data maintenance.

Review andpost incoming invoices, ensuring accurate account assignments, cost centerallocations and tax information.

Assist withfixed asset accounting activities and related documentation.

Support thepreparation of month-end closing activities and ensure timely processing ofaccounting tasks.

Collaboratewith internal departments to clarify invoice discrepancies and resolveaccounting-related questions.

Followinternal accounting guidelines, financial procedures and relevant deadlines.

Contribute tothe continuous improvement of accounting processes as our organization grows.

Your profile

Initialpractical experience in accounting or finance, gained through vocationaltraining, internships or first professional experience.

Basicunderstanding of accounting principles and an interest in developing yourknowledge of HGB and IFRS.

Structured,accurate and reliable working style with a strong sense of responsibility andcommitment to meeting deadlines.

Confidenthandling of MS Office, particularly Excel; initial experience with ERP systemssuch as SAP is an advantage.

Very goodGerman and good English communication skills.

Motivation tolearn, take ownership of assigned tasks and develop professionally in aninternational team.
