Job description

Build Europe's semiconductor future with us!

The Process Navigator & Employee Experience Enabler

The HR People Partner is the vital backbone of our HR operating model and the primary navigator and champion for our employees. Far beyond administrative execution, the HR PP acts as the trusted partner for employees regarding the basic system, logic, and navigation of all HR processes (2nd Level). By guiding employees through HR workflows, driving continuous improvement (CI), and acting as the operational process interface for the HRBP, the HR PP ensures an outstanding employee experience, while enabling the HRBP to focus fully on strategic leadership consulting.

Job Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employee Process Navigation & Guidance (2nd Level)
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employees to explain the general logic, structure, and system of HR processes and policies.
    • Guide employees on how to navigate local and global HR tools, self-services, and platforms.
    • The Split: Route all strategic organization-, business-, and leadership-related topics directly to the HRBP, keeping operational employee navigation fully with the HR PP.
  • Operational Interface to the HRBP
    • Partner closely with the HRBP to support the operational execution of business-led changes.
    • Ensure a seamless flow of information between employee inquiries, the HRBP, and specialized HR departments.
  • Management & Support of Recurring HR Cycles
    • Support the rollout and execution of regular HR cycles locally (e.g., Annual Performance Reviews, Promotion Rounds, Merit/Salary Planning, and Training cycles).
    • Act as the local coordinator: track timelines, help employees understand cycle requirements and system inputs, and support the HRBP in preparing consolidated data.
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) & Global HQ Alignment
    • Act as the central European hub for Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, helping to simplify and optimize daily processes for employees.
    • Serve as the key coordinator to align local employee needs with Global HQ HR standards, ensuring new global tools are successfully adopted locally.
  • Works Council Operations (Operational Hearing)
    • Manage and prepare the operational paperwork and routine submissions for the Works Council (Betriebsrat), such as hiring, transfers, and salary changes, in alignment with the HRBP and C&B.
Your profile
  • Professional Requirements & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or equivalent; experience in HR Operations, HR Customer Service, or as an HR Generalist.
    • Good understanding of German HR processes, basic labor law, and Works Council operations (Betriebsverfassungsgesetz).
    • Fluent in German and English to facilitate smooth communication between local employees and Global HQ.
  • Attitude: Service & Collaboration ("The Navigator")
    • Strong Interface Competence: Ability to act as a reliable and approachable bridge between employees (1st Level), the HRBP, and global standards.
    • Solution-Oriented & Pragmatic: High customer service mentality, focusing on fast resolution times, clear process explanations, and employee advocacy.
  • Attitude: Process Optimization & Proactivity
    • CI Mindset: Passion for analyzing existing workflows, identifying process bottlenecks, and proactively driving standardization.
    • Highly organized with strong coordination skills to manage multiple employee inquiries and process deadlines simultaneously.
Reasons to join ESMC
  • Security & Perspective: A permanent employment contract and career advancement opportunities in one of Europe's leading semiconductors fabs.
