Job summary

Tipico is seeking a Java Developer (m/f/x) to join its Karlsruhe team. You will design and implement Java-based services using Springboot in a complex system landscape, while contributing to modern solutions and maintaining legacy systems.

You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, influencing architectures, mentoring juniors, and supporting knowledge transfer. A university degree and 3–5 years’ experience are expected; relocation to Karlsruhe is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5+ years of proven professional software development experience.
• Strong Java skills and experience with enterprise frameworks (Springboot, Hibernate).
• Good SQL skills and database knowledge.
• Experience with virtualization and containerized apps (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with Git and Maven; building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design high performing Java-based services in a complex system landscape.
• Contribute to concept, design and implementation of modern solutions based on Springboot.
• Maintain and enhance existing legacy systems while adopting new tech stack.
• Lead software projects from draft to production and document architectures.
• Coach junior team members and share knowledge within the team.

• University Degree.Bachelor's/Master's Degree and at least more 3-5years of proven professional experiencein the area of Software Development
• StrongJava skills.With knowledge of enterprise frameworks such as Springboot and Hibernate
• Artificial Intelligence.Enthusiasm for AI and willingness to stay up to date with emerging developments
• Strong Database skills.Good database knowledge (Strong SQL skills)
